Product description

There are plates you place on the table that change the atmosphere of a meal. This is one of them. Crafted from thick stoneware, it adopts a slightly oval shape with organic edges, as if the clay had kept the memory of the hands that shaped it. The khaki glaze—a shade of khaki flecked with brown and rust—is achieved by layering oxides that react differently depending on the kiln’s heat. The result: a lively surface, never flat, that catches the light from every angle. On the reverse, the concentric ridges from the wheel remain visible beneath the glaze, an honest trace of the potter’s hand. This plate does not try to be perfect. That is precisely what makes it remarkable. It is made to hold beef tataki, roasted vegetables, or seasonal plating. To make the meal just a little more beautiful than it needs to be.

Care: this stoneware piece should be washed by hand; its khaki glaze, achieved through high-temperature firing, is stable but benefits from being protected against sudden thermal shock.
